Special focus on WASH
Safe drinking-water, sanitation and hygiene are crucial to human health and well-being. Safe WASH is not only a prerequisite to health, but contributes to livelihoods, school attendance and dignity and helps to create resilient communities living in healthy environments.
Evidence suggests that improving service levels towards safely managed drinking-water or sanitation can dramatically improve community’s health and help in their overall growth and lead them towards prosperity.
All WASH-related interventions are primary focus at AYUS. In the recent past, we have played an instrumental role in getting ODF status for a few villages and have also received Nirmal Village Award.

- Construction of necessary WASH facilities at schools and villages
- Sanitation awareness programmes at schools and villages
- Enabling government’s sanitation schemes at the grassroots
- Work closely with communities to propagate usage and significance of WASH facilities
- Conceptualise and implement WASH-focused campaigns under CSR
